Switchgrass Shenandoah – this is an ornamental grass with a soaring habit and slightly overhanging leaves. This grass grows up to 100-120 cm during flowering. Initially green leaves turn red in summer. At the turn of July and August, the grass blooms – the inflorescence is light, airy and delicate. The color of the leaves changes under the influence of sun rays, the more sunny the position, the faster the leaves will change color. The inflorescence is decorative for winter. The grass for the winter dies and hibernates in the form of a root clump. Cut the old inflorescences in March. Switchgrass feels good in a sunny position with a humus substrate and slightly moist. Switchgrass is grass resistant to periodic droughts, it hates overflow. Low shoots should be cut in spring or autumn.
